UST Datacenter

The UST Patriot System resides at the TDS Data Center located in Middleton, WI (local 911 call center.) This datacenter provides UST with burstable and scalable Internet connectivity, Dry Fire Suppression systems, redundant temperature control, and emergency power backups.

US Transcription Network

Reliable connection to the Internet provided by TDS which has over 170,000 internet customers, protected by SONET infrastructure. Not dependent upon any one vendor, multiple connections to the Internet and an OC48 infrastructure among sites in Madison, Chicago, Atlanta, and New York City. Also GigE connections to peering locations in Washington, D.C. and Palo Alto, CA.
Bandwidth is completely scalable and upgradeable at the data center facility. Bandwidth is burstable - there is no bandwidth "cap." Diverse routes in and out of the building via Gigabit fiber connections to the POPs.
Power backup through the data center grade UPS (150kVA Liebert Series) and Diesel generator sized for entire data center (Onan). Tested weekly by onsite mechanic.
Direct peering connections to both coasts and with over 100 peering partners.
Dry Fire Suppression (not water, as used by other companies) FM200 System
Established escalation procedures.
Complete concrete and brick structure - not just another office building.
8 tons of cooling on hand now and 20 tons available to be deployed.
Security with electronic card access, security cameras, glass break detectors.
Electrical grounding field at this location allows it to ground even severe lightning strikes.
